We spend two fantastic days with our friend Priscilla, working out and tending to her outrageous dogs, watching Al Gore and Obama’s fantastic speeches, and resting. Phew! Thank you Priscilla and Mike!

We arrived Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina, where my sister Monica is going to school. Monica showed us something amazing. Beth and I sat 100 feet away from each other inside enormous cement half-spheres. I could tell that the idea was probably for us to be able to hear each other, due to the designed acoustics of the setup. But it wasn’t working. Just as I was about to give up, I leaned back to get up, and lo and behold, I could hear my voice resonating in my head. Then I could hear Beth, even a whisper, at 100 feet. Then, I didn’t want to leave! We don’t know what’s in store for the next few days before we leave for Tennessee, but I’m sure we’ll have a blast!
